Description

Hi everyone

I saw this scene in Moscow, Russia. We were walking passed a small, abandoned amusement park. This pigeon seemed to me like "talking" to it's own reflection.
Hope you like it!
Enjoy =)

thank you both for your opinions!
not that I'm looking for an excuse.. but the noise was intended, for my taste it suits the image and adds to the compo, especially on the bottom right corner, but it's a matter of taste =)

@Daykan: Waiting for the magic word... ;)

The pigeon and the reflection is very nice.

Still there are other areas which is less interesting.

Maybe a closer shot would have eliminated those parts of the composition.

Don't mind the noise.

I really like the composition; nice textures and forms. The leaf seams a little too saturated compared to everything else, though.
Great photo! <3

if the crop was only of the crow and the reflections on the water this would make an incredible surreal piece! still very good.

thank you all for your constructive comments! =)

@Poohblah
thanks for this suggestion! I thought about this but I didn't want the pigeon to be at the edge of the picture and I also wanted to include the leaf because it seems like a nice touch to me =)

Phillip,
please, please, PLEASE take this with a grain of salt. these are just the thoughts running through my head when i look at this:

the rule of thirds is not a hard-bound, printed in the bible rule. it's a suggestion, a rule of thumb. i think that with that composition placing the crow at the top would provide the space below him necessary to complete the mood: the crow should appear weightless IMO. i don't know if the leaf should/should not be in the composition, it could add a nice touch if done right. if you compose the photo with the crow at the top-right corner of the viewfinder you should be able to fit it all in there.

I like the composition as it is. It combines the unique elements together very well. A great image Phillip.

Very nice. I agree about the crop from top, cause the stripe of water above the bird (looks more like a pigeon than a crow to me) I find distracting. The golden leaf I would keep in the frame.

I would crop it from the top, not so much like Poohblah did.
Anyhow this is a great shot! (thumbup)
